Why do you want to be a mentor?

First and foremost, I love talking with people, getting to know them and helping them come to their own realisations about themselves. I have recently closed the loop on an important journey of self reflection with a mentor around what successful growth looks like for me and I’ve felt the liberation that happens when you realise some simple truths about yourself that can simplify your own decision making around your future.

Dennis has had over 20 years experience helping brands and businesses find and realise growth opportunities.

Based in Sydney Australia, he is a high energy career marketeer and a creative thinker with a passion for consumer led growth, brand building and innovation. His experience ranges across sectors from building purpose led brands to creating best in class capability for high performing teams.

Whilst he sees himself as a marketing practitioner at heart, Dennis has deep experience in growing individuals and leading through change as the Managing Director of Added Value Australia which merged with other consultancies to become Kantar Consulting, a business he has run in Australia as Managing Partner.
Dennis is a big believer in the power of mentoring for both the mentor and the mentee, having recently been on his own guided journey of self reflection which has ultimately led him to set up his own independent brand led growth consultancy, Ground Swell. The ambition he holds in his work is to help people he cares about on problems that are important to them… be they business or personal.

Outside of his work, Dennis is a keen surfer, a husband, a father of a teenage boy and is aspiring to build rewarding simplicity into his life.
