Why do you want to be a mentor?
Cindy Grass was named Head of People & Culture at Fiftyfive5 in February 2022 and led a team of 4 HR specialists. Fiftyfive5 has since been acquired by Accenture Song and Cindy was the lead in the transition process of a 200+ business. She previously held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer for GroupM Australia & New Zealand in August 2017. Cindy was responsible for the people strategy, leadership, engagement, employee services, diversity, and inclusion of the 900-person workforce.
Cindy partners with the CEO’s, leadership teams and the broader HR community regarding all aspects of the company’s people agenda and management systems to shape a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and agility.
Cindy has championed the company’s global adoption of diversity and inclusion in Australia resulting in heightened focus around four pillars of pride, gender, cultural, disability and generation that has driven a company-wide shift in a commitment to change. She is a leading voice in addressing bias in hiring, promotion and development of employees ensuing in a more structured approach in these areas.
Cindy transferred from Kantar Millward Brown, a WPP company for 9 years and led the business to achieve the Aon Hewitt Best Employer Award consecutively for 6 years, 2011, 2013 & 2015. Prior to this Cindy spent 20+ years working globally in the FMCG industry, most notably for Coca-Cola South Pacific for 17 years.
With her deep understanding on employee engagement, Cindy has been interviewed by leading HR magazines and published on performance new trends in the HRM Magazine “The future of the performance appraisal” 2015 and was invited to the HR Panel to talk about performance trends (April 2016). Cindy continues to contribute to her field, most recently managing health in the workforce in the B&T Feb/March 2019 edition.
Cindy earned a master’s in human resource management from Charles Sturt University in 2014. She is an accredited executive coach and facilitator of behavioural profiling systems and about to embark on Mentoring for teenagers in the school system.
